About Carolyn

Licensed Therapist

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania and South Carolina, a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor (NCC), EMDRIA Certified in EMDR, and Approved Consultant with EMDRIA. I earned my BA from Temple University and my MA in Clinical-Counseling Psychology from LaSalle University. I completed my graduate practicum at Community Council Health Systems and a graduate internship at Network of Victim Assistance.
Since I began my undergraduate degree, I have had the opportunity to work in diverse settings with patients coping with a variety of challenges. I have worked in family-based mental health clinics, non-profit community-based organizations, schools, drug and alcohol treatment centers, and private practice.
I am also a member of the International Association of Healthcare Professionals.
I have genuine compassion, eager enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to the clients that I serve.
I live in the Lehigh Valley with my husband, two children, and our dog. I am a former competitive gymnast and my love of the sport has been passed down to my children. In my spare time, I enjoy making memories with my family and friends, exercising, traveling, and learning about holistic practices to incorporate in my lifestyle and treatment to patients.

My Approach & Values

My approach to therapy is personalized, strength-based, and grounded in proven techniques. I use evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, while integrating more non-traditional types of therapy including Eye Movement Desensitization and Internal Family Systems, and Polyvagal Theory. Together we will repair and build upon the existing foundation in which you enter therapy, to create a healthier you. I provide a warm and comforting space for my patients to feel heard and safe while promoting self growth and long-standing change.
